The Chicago Cubs have backed up the Brinks truck for Pete Crow-Armstrong.

Several reporters confirmed on Monday that the Cubs are now in agreement with Crow-Armstrong on a new contract expected to keep him in Wrigley Field for the foreseeable future. While the details of the contract have yet to be disclosed, USA Today’s Bob Nightengale called it “a $100-million plus contract extension” to make him the second-highest paid Cub behind Alex Bregman.

Nightengale added that Crow-Armstrong’s deal is expected to be “more than double” the $66 million contract he wisely turned down last spring. PCA bet on himself and won big.

Crow-Armstrong had a breakout 2025 campaign that generated him MVP buzz early in the season. He tallied 31 home runs and 95 RBIs for Chicago at the plate while playing Gold Glove-caliber defense at center field.

PCA cooled off considerably after the All-Star break, which dropped his batting average to .247, but he still finished with a 6.0 WAR and received MVP votes from 15% of the ballots cast.

Crow-Armstrong’s new contract also comes just days before his 24th birthday. With PCA’s best baseball more than likely ahead of him, Cubs fans have plenty of reasons to be excited about where their team is headed.
