Starbucks’ holiday menu arrives with a first-time festive pup cup

From ocregister.com

Starbucks launched its 2026 holiday menu on Thursday, Nov. 5, with festive new beverages, take-out cups and what it calls its first-ever seasonal pup cup.

The cup pup is a 3½ ounce container for Puppuccinos, free whipped cream for customers’ pooches.

The special cup is red and features a fluffy dog with flying saucer ears on one side and a holiday tree on the other.

Your dog probably won’t care, but if you want one, you might want to move fast. Even though year-end holidays are weeks away, Starbucks cautions that pup cups will be available for a “very limited time while supplies last” in company-operated stores. That might count out Starbucks stands in Target or supermarket chains.

Starbucks’ cups for humans feature traditional ribbons, holiday trees and garland. There are two designs for hot cups in red and white. Clear cups for cold beverages feature red ribbons and garland.

New flavors this season include Tiramisu Velvet Latte made with espresso and steamed milk and topped with velvet mascarpone cold foam and cocoa. It’s available hot or iced.

There are also new cold bubble beverages, a Snowy Apple Drink and an Apple Pomegranate Lemonade Refresher.

New hot foods include Braised Short Rib Grilled Cheese and a Turkey & Stuffing Sandwich.

Returning favorites include Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulée Latte and the Iced Sugar Cookie Latte. Also look for Sugar Plum Cheese Danish, the Cranberry Bliss Bar and a new ursine-shaped Bearista Cake Pop with vanilla cake and chocolate icing.

New merchandise includes Bearista mugs, tumblers, snowglobes and plush bag charms with cute teddy bears. On Tuesday, Nov. 10, Starbucks will offer a “surprise collection of Bearista Glass Cold Cup characters” in stores.

Starbucks’ Red Cup Day, when it gives away free plastic cups with crafted beverage purchases, will be Tuesday, Nov. 17. Starbucks hasn’t revealed what its 2026 design will be.

The start of the holiday season marks the end of Pumpkin Spice Latte season, although some stores may still be selling off their fall inventory.
