Breed: Domestic shorthair
Age: 3 years
Sex: Neutered male
Size: 18 pounds
Smokey’s story: Smokey is a gentle giant of a boy, sweet and affectionate with incredibly soft fur. He loves chest and tummy rubs, curling up beside you on the couch, watching TV, and climbing into any paper bag or cardboard box he can find! Rescued from the streets of Long Beach while battling an upper respiratory illness, Smokey is now on the mend and absolutely loving indoor life. He’s playful, mellow, good around cats and dogs, and seems genuinely grateful for every meal, toy, cuddle, and soft place to sleep. Smokey has already known what it’s like to be homeless. To make sure he never knows that feeling again, Long Beach Spay and Neuter Foundation is looking for a stable, lifelong home and a person who will cherish him for the next 15-plus years or who has a solid care plan for the rest of his life in place. Smokey has been treated for fleas and parasites and is up-to-date on vaccinations.
