Report: Athletics, Wilson agree to 7-year, $70M extension

The Athletics and All-Star shortstop Jacob Wilson have agreed to a seven-year, $70-million contract extension that includes a club option for an eighth season, sources told Jeff Passan of ESPN.
Wilson slashed .311/.355/.444 with 13 homers and 63 RBIs over 125 games en route to finishing as the 2025 AL Rookie of the Year runner-up.
